Riding for Hope, Singing for Strength

A Day at the Races

A Day at the Races: Founded on the grittiness, simplicity, and the modest price tag of early-day gravel, we aren’t using this construct to make money. Not for Anthony, not for Rasputitsa. Quite frankly, we just need hugs from afar. We aren’t asking you to register for anything, and we aren’t organizing anything. What we are doing is asking our community to show up—for each other, for loved ones who are fighting to live.

On March 29th, we ask you to do something that frees your soul: ride, run, ski, hike—whatever moves you—and share it using #adayattheraces. You don’t need to tag Rasputitsa. This isn’t about acknowledgment or boosting social stats. It’s about what Rasputitsa has always stood for: Community, Freedom, Unity.

Anthony Moccia

Anthony Moccia is more than just a name to those who know him—he's a cornerstone of our community, a relentless dreamer, and a friend whose impact reaches far and wide. His journey has always been one of resilience, from building Rasputitsa with nothing but heart and grit to fostering connections that transcend the world of cycling. But today, Anthony faces a battle unlike any other—one that no amount of grit or determination alone can conquer.

Diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his bones and brain, Anthony now fights a war that none of us are ever truly prepared for. Cancer is relentless, unforgiving, and indiscriminate. It robs families of their stability, drains resources, and tests even the strongest of spirits. But if there's one thing we know about Anthony, it’s that he embodies strength in its purest form. His humor, his passion, and his unwavering belief in the power of community remain intact, even in the face of the unimaginable.

A Night at the Opera

Anthony loves Queen. From the very beginning, it has been our shared dream to bring a Queen Tribute Band to Rasputitsa. And now, in a time when fear looms large and uncertainty presses in, we remain steadfast in our determination to make that dream a reality. So for those of you nearby—or those willing to load up the bus—we invite you to join us for an unforgettable evening.

Hosted by Jay Peak Resort, we present A Queen Tribute Benefit Concert, where every note played and every song sung will serve a higher purpose. All proceeds will go directly to the Moccia Family, because cancer doesn’t just ravage bodies—it bankrupts lives in every imaginable way. This night isn’t just about music; it’s about standing together, raising our voices, and proving that even in the darkest moments, we can find harmony.
